Florida State University’s Department of Art Education had an excellent showing at the 2019 National Art Education Association Convention in Boston. Our own Dr. Sara Scott Shields was honored as the Southeastern Region’s Higher Educator of the Year. FSU Alumna Dr. Susannah Brown was named the Higher Educator of the Year. FSU Alumnus Jaehan Bae received the USSEA Ziegfeld Service Award. Jeff Broome was recognized for his service and the end of his term as the Director of the Higher Education Division. Presentations were given by FSU Faculty (Ann Rowson Love, Rachel Fendler, Sara Scott Shields, and Jeff Broome), students (Danielle Henn, Cindy Jesup, Tony Woodruff), and alumni (Victoria Eudy, Alexandra Allen, Jaehan Bae, Susannah Brown, Yichien Cooper, Minuette Floyd, Jennifer Hamrock, Adriane Pereira, Debrah Christine Sickler-Voigt, Steve Willis, Betty Lou Williams and many more).
