Congratulations to Maclain Hardin Kurza who successfully defended her doctoral dissertation yesterday in front of a packed classroom with 50 more attendees watching on Zoom! Special thanks to Dr. Pat Villeneuve who led the way through the major stages of Maclain’s dissertation, and to Wen Guo, Ann Rowson Love, and Kimberly VanWeelden, for serving on Maclain’s committee. It was an honor to step-in and serve as Maclain’s major professor after Pat’s retirement. But mainly, congratulations Dr. Hardin Kurza! It was an honor being along for the ride.
