I spent part of this weekend attending the International Symposium on Autoethnography and Narrative (virtually of course). It was an honor to have my proposal selected among the slate of presentations. (FSU alumna Jennifer Garcia gave a wonderful presentation too!) My presentation was included within a session on “The Art of/in Autoethnography” and was paired with presentations by Hande Cayir (Istanbul Yeni Yuzil University), Maria Allen (Leeds Arts University in the United Kingdom), Renata Matsuo (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Joanna Neil (Independent Scholar). I learned so much from these amazing scholars and other presenters. Thank you to the International Association of Autoethnography and Narrative Inquiry for organizing the symposium and giving us a platform to share our work.
