Florida State University’s Department of Art Education closed out the Spring Semester of 2018 with multiple accolades. Congratulations to our Preservice Graduates (Emily Ann McCullers Kelly, Kimberly Stearns, Haley Edson, Capri Andrews, Sammantha Sanchez, Leigha Kelly-Knight, and Jessica Barthle) who have completed our teacher certification program and are ready to take on the world as art teachers! Congratulations also to our doctoral graduates: Juyeon Song, Ashley Hartman, and Jennifer Hammock. I was very proud of our NAEA Student Chapter for hosting a wonderful art exhibit earlier in the semester. Congratulations to Delaney Sandlin for her amazing showing in the BFA Thesis Exhibition. My good friend and amazing colleague, Dr. Sara Scott Shields, just had a wonderful co-authored article published in “Art Education”. Congratulations to all of our award winners at this year’s College of Fine Arts Student Awards Ceremony, including current students Delaney Sandlin, Karissa Herb, Alexia Lobiana, Elise Lael Kieffer, Yiwen Wei, Bradley Lister, Emily Frost, and Anna Higgins. I’m so proud my good friend and colleague, Dr. Antonio Cuyler, for his College Teaching Award as well! You all represent our Department so well!
