I recently returned from the summer Board meeting of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) in Alexandria, VA. The meeting was lively, informative and expertly led by the Executive Director of NAEA (Deborah Reeve), the President (Kim Defibaugh), and Past President (Pat Franklin). It was very exciting to attend my first meeting as the Director of the Higher Education Division of NAEA. We were inspired by the presentations, and I’m thrilled to be working with the Division Director Team (Michelle Grohe, Pete Curran, Jen Dahl, Lisa Stuart Whitehead, Joshua Drews, Jessica Burton Aulisio) and the Executive Finance Team (Deborah Reeve, Kim Defibaugh, Pat Franklin, and Cris Guenter). We are all excited for our plans for the coming term, including the next NAEA convention in Seattle. Hope to see you there!
