The 2017 National Art Education Association (NAEA) Conference in NYC was a huge success with many dynamic presentations by leading scholars and educators in our field. I’m so excited to begin my term as the new Higher Education Division Director of NAEA. Thank you Sara Wilson McKay for your mentorship over the past two years. We’ve assembled a fantastic leadership team, and I am thrilled to be working with the best team ever: Joni Boyd Acuff (Western Region), Adriane Pereira (Eastern Region), Justin Sutters (Southeastern Region), Amber Ward (Pacific Region), and newly elected Director Elect – Amy Pfeiler-Wunder. They are all tremendous scholars and even better people to work with. I look forward to serving the Division to the best of my ability.
